About the Opportunity

Williams Adams is looking for a full-time Technical Trainer to join our small close-knit team based based at one of our major branches in Victoria or Tasmania. 

As our new Technical Trainer, you will play a significant role by delivering machine, technical systems, and safety training to our team and customers across Victoria and Tasmania.

Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager, you will assist in all the training and assessment needs through the various branches as required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting technical and safety training on Caterpillar mobile plant and systems
  • Partnering closely with our Branch Leadership to plan relevant, timely, and effective training
  • Conducting skills gap analysis to identify training opportunities
  • Maintaining and updating training packages and learning plans
  • Domestic travel to our branches and customer sites

About You

You are someone who is Trade Qualified with a Cert III Mobile Plant or an equivalent technical qualification, with demonstrated post-trade experience in the field and a natural ability to inspire others to take an idea and run with it. 

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Technical excellence in heavy earth moving Machinery or a similar field of expertise
  • Strong administration skills to ensure smooth training operations
  • A creative work approach, bringing fresh ideas to enhance training effectiveness

Additionally, you have:

  • A proficiency in dealing with a range of behaviours and expectations, bringing complete flexibility to your work approach in all situations
  • A team-orientated mindset. Collaboration is your forte, you are a skilled problem-fixer who turns challenges into triumphs through seamless teamwork and innovative solutions
  • A unique talent for bringing out the best in people, particularly when it comes to inspiring and motivating them throughout their learning experiences
